Instead of defining the integral via Darboux sums, L&S define (Jordan) content of sets in R^n, and define integrable functions via approximation, in the spirit of Chapter 4. "The Lost Dinosaurs of Egypt" tells an exciting story while recognizing the accomplishments of the past and would be a fine addition to the library of any student considering a career in this field.
To digress, this is not a book for specialists but that is not to condemn it in any way. This series is my NUMBER ONE recommendation in the fantasy genre--start reading now and you won't be waiting for years to find out what happens to characters you'll care about!. Except for some shelf wear book appears unread.. Each has been added with the necessary steps in succeeding in it. My kids can't wait to see what happens to them next!
