I started my preparation by taking the first practice test in Cracking the PSAT 2006, in order to diagnose my strong and weak points.
My first test results were pretty atrocious (or course this had nothing to do with the book because I hadn't learned the strategies yet):
Math-47 (out of 80)
Critical Reading-38 (out of 80)
Writing-51 (out of 80)
Total-136 (out of 240)
With a score about 14 or 15 points below average (150-151), I knew I needed to do some serious work. Very useful for the class I took on the Dead Sea Scrolls. Buy Mike Maloney's Gold and Silver book instead.. If you love intrigue, history, or clever insightful writing definitely get a copy. The other person was too impatient to even try to read it. Life is an inside job, not an outside job (diets, fads, genetics) and the power of our mind to affect the way we FEEL is our truth. Could he have organized it more?
