On a final note, I noticed that FreeBSD's current "Fast IPSEC" implementation doesn't use "options IPSEC-ESP" in 7.0. This book shows startling disrespect for the reader. It's an amazing tale, with the last quarter including John's ruminations, which have him questioning his judgment and dealing with his own guilt by channeling an accident that took place 150 years ago on the very same reef that ripped apart his own sailboat. Definitely it could have been said in less words and pages, because repeating what was previously said was not interesting. The final chapter is one of the best as it brings together many of the concepts presented in earlier chapters.
