Like others my initial reaction was that some of the material in this book was outdated and needed editing, but I would urge you to get beyond that and use the book as it is an incredible resource. The case exemplifies some of the issues that will be discussed on subsequent pages, and brings a level of reality to the subject that I enjoyed.
Not a bad book, but by the same token requires an instructor who really knows the subject well to separate the good parts from the bad for the students.. Kids will relate to it. The secular ideologies that once promised a "new man" or a "new morality" provided neither. We have read this picture book with great enjoyment many times.. This is just like Never Love an Outlaw. One more thought: thank you again, Ms. The stroke information in the book is excellent, as are the tips from Olympians and the nutrition guide, but where this book really misses the mark is in the workouts.
