I can't say enough good things about this tape. Now my daughter can read it to her siblings and they love it just as much. This book is for big band use and not for melody lines of Christmas songs. It will take very little time at all to read it, and I found it almost impossible to put down at times.
I can tell, from the remarks about William Manchester & Bob Caro, that Updegrove feels that LBJ has been the victim of unfair bias on the part of some biographers & historians (I hesitate to use the word "historian" to describe Manchester --- but whatever), and is doing his part to help rehabilitate LBJ's historical reputation, or at least provide a sense of balance. I suspect that anyone who thinks it is only good for starting a fire with its pages has an axe to grind and is really not that knowledgeable. Purchased this edition as soon as it was released. My kids can't wait to see what happens to them next! My son is hoping for some time-travel because he loves historical books
